I started American Moto Co in 2025 because I was tired of motorcycle media being organized by discipline, I wanted a place that you could read about all kinds of motorcycles.

What I did not expect was to become the person collecting all the stories from the road.

The archive of miles collected... if you will.

I have spoken to racers, historical figures, world travelers, crazy people and those that refuse to admit they are a little crazy. Through it all one thing remained true, we are all united by motorcycles.

It's said that making adult friends is hard. (shit I struggle with it myself) The reason you make friends so easily as a kid is because you are all in the same moment together. You are learning together in a classroom, you share the same struggles and success, you fight the same battles and you build together. Motorcycles transcend daily life and are the escape from the world. Maybe that's what brings us all together, we are not worried about income, or job titles, struggles or successes, we are just two riders behind a helmet living in the same moment of time.

It's a bond that can be created by just merging onto the highway and running into another rider. Immediately bonded for that time, flowing together through traffic, that's a feeling I don't get anywhere else. So, I want to truly say thank you to every single one of you that have merged into the American Moto Co pack and stuck with me. Reading my stories, sharing them on social media, allowing me to interview you, and slowly growing this crazy monster from the ground up. I don't get paid to do this, in fact I invest my own money to grow the platform. As I write this I have already spent an 8 hour work day at my day job and I will put in another hour to finalize this Thursdays issue.

All I ask in return is that you subscribe. It's free. Invite your friends. The next year of American Moto Co should be interesting, we have invested time and energy into getting a stage at Bike Week in Daytona, we are working towards more in-person story telling events, and have started talks with a local podcast studio to get some interviews into the booth for you to enjoy. I hope that each issue brings you that same feeling of alignment that we get when we ride together.

Even if just for a few minutes.

Everything is fun again, and we can get back to reality later.

Cheers,

- Zach
