Biketoberfest, October 15 to 18, 2026, has a reputation built on loud pipes and Main Street, but it’s one of the better big rallies for women who ride. We cover more women riders than just about anyone, so here’s the honest picture: what to expect, how to ride it your way, and where the women of Biketoberfest actually are.

A row of classic Harley-Davidson cruisers parked along a palm-lined street, a woman walking past in the background.

Let’s clear something up first. Biketoberfest is not a boys’ club with a guest list. Women have been riding into Daytona for decades, solo, two-up, and in crews, and the number climbs every year.

Is Main Street at midnight a rowdy scene? Yes...

Is the rally as a whole welcoming to women who ride? Absolutely, and it has only gotten more so.

What to actually expect

Biketoberfest is four days spread across Main Street in downtown Daytona, Destination Daytona up in Ormond Beach, and the Speedway. The daytime scene, vendors, bike shows, demo rides, the roads, is easygoing and family-friendly in a lot of spots. The late-night Main Street scene is louder and rowdier, the usual big-rally energy. None of it is off-limits, but knowing which parts are chill and which are a party helps you plan a weekend that fits what you’re after.

Riding it solo

The same rally-smart habits that serve any rider serve you here: tell someone your route, keep your phone charged, trust your read on a situation, and don’t feel obligated to respond to the Florida man. The riding around Daytona is the best part anyway, and a solo morning on the Loop beats a crowded bar every time. If you’d rather roll with people, the rally is full of group rides and you’ll have a crew by Saturday whether you planned on one or not.

What to wear and pack

October in Florida is warm and humid with a real chance of afternoon rain, so gear for heat and wet. Ventilated riding gear you can actually stand in the sun in, and shoes you can walk Main Street in after you park the bike. Sunscreen.

Most say rain gear and although its important to have, the rain in Florida rolls through for 20 minutes and its gone. Honestly, I rarely take the time to put mine on. Just keep riding and the Florida heat will pull it off you in about 15 minutes anyways.

Make it a riding trip

The single best advice for any first-timer, woman or not: don’t spend all four days on the same four blocks. Get out and ride.

Pro tip

Check the rocket launch schedule at Kennedy Space center, you can see them easily in Daytona, or if you are really curious the launch is only an hour away!
