TLDR: Sons of Speed | Erin Sills | The URAL | WRWR
Hey riders,
I saw this quote on Facebook by Greg Rice. (who I don’t believe even knows I follow him) But I figured it would answer every question ever posted in any motorcycle space ever….
“Tires: If they are round and made out of rubber - Run It
Oil: If it feels slippery in your hand - Run It
Gas: If it burns - Run It“
Hope that helps! -Zach & the team at American Moto Co

Reviews for Riders: The Ural

They sit in their own world of moto weirdness and charm.
This is something that was not designed to blend in. The Ural is something you notice. Something that makes others smile. Something that always gets a nod from another rider, but you don’t often know someone that actually owns one. Read more….
For nearly a century, Harley-Davidson motorcycles have been affectionately dubbed "hogs." Why did that start?
Epic Rides: Women Riders World Rally

Normally, this space belongs to a stretch of asphalt. A specific route. A ribbon of road that twists through mountains or hugs the coast. We talk about elevation, lean angle, throttle control. We talk about the kind of miles that stay with you.
But this issue is different. Read more…
Safety and Performance: Motorcycle Comm’s
There was a time when group rides ran on hand signals, hope, and whoever happened to know the way. Miss a turn and you were on your own until the next gas stop. Now, a good comms unit changes the entire rhythm of a ride.
The concept is simple. Everyone stays connected. Directions land in your helmet instead of on a tiny screen you are squinting at. Music fills the long highway stretches. If something changes up ahead, you hear about it instantly instead of finding out the hard way.
For experienced riders, the real magic is in the subtle stuff. Tight formation riding gets smoother. Pace changes are coordinated instead of chaotic. Road hazards get called out in real time. It sharpens the group dynamic without taking away from the ride itself.
For newer riders, it is a confidence builder. Having a calm voice guiding you through traffic or giving you a heads up before a tricky section of road makes everything feel more manageable. You are still riding your own ride, but you are not riding alone.
For Grom riders, this is just a competition of who can annoy everyone else the best. (We see you)
Community Spotlight: Erin Sills
She is best known as a land speed record holder with more than fifty records earned with her team across multiple sanctioning bodies.
She lived at the edge of terminal velocity, on salt flats and long courses where the horizon doesn’t rush toward you so much as taunt you to inch closer This is riding measured in patience, precision, and restraint, not bravado. It’s a discipline where the smallest mistake ends a run, and the cleanest pass is not appreciated until you see the number.

We’re always down to talk bikes. And if you know someone who lives for throttle therapy, send this newsletter their way; their readership helps keep the newsletter going.
Keep the shiny side up.
